Shakespeare's Globe announces full cast for Measure for Measure

Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the full cast of Measure for Measure, which opens the Winter Season in the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse on 19 November.

The production is directed by Blanche McIntyre whose most recent credits include Hymn at the Almeida, Botticelli in the Fire at the Hampstead Theatre and Tartuffe at the National Theatre. Design is by James Cotterill.

The full cast includes Ashley Zhangazha as Angelo and Messenger, Daniel Millar as Provost, Elbow and Gentleman, Eloise Secker as Pompey, Mariana and Juliet, Georgia Landers as Isabella and Froth, Gyuri Sarossy as Lucio and Abhorson, Hattie Ladbury as Duke, Ishia Bennison as Escalus, Overdone, Francisca and Barnadine, and Josh Zaré as Claudio, Friar Peter and Servant. The musicians are Kat Gillham, Beth Higham-Edwards and Rob Updegraff.

The complete Winter Season includes The Fir Tree, Hamlet and The Merchant of Venice.

Measure for Measure is at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 19 November - 15 January and will be live streamed on 7 January.
